Fight the smears from the left, not the ones from the right. Apparently.
Our campaign moving into the future will predominantly consist of a series of ideological battles that we will have to fight as individuals. Here is one such skirmish that Nathan recently won.
Keep the pressure on.
From The Paulunteer Mailbox:
Here’s an e-mail I received from Robert Duncan, Chairman of the Republican
National Commitee, followed by my response to him. I imagine you all might have
a few words to give him as well.Dear Nathan,
The New York Times has proven once again that the liberal mainstream media will
do whatever it takes to put Senator Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama in the White
House.
From the beginning of Campaign 2008, liberal media pundits have fawned over the
Democrat presidential candidates while ignoring their lack of substance on the
issues. You can be certain that as the campaign heats up they will continue to
mislead voters with their anti-Republican agenda.
Nathan, Republicans must fight back against the mainstream media’s clear
liberal bias — and we need your help to do it.
Please make an urgent secure online contribution of $1,000, $500, $100, $50, or
$25 to help the RNC get our responsible message of lower taxes, a strong
national defense, and limited government past the liberal media filter and
directly to the voters.
Thank you in advance for your support.Best Wishes,
Robert M. “Mike” Duncan
Chairman, Republican National CommitteeDear Mr. Duncan,
Regarding the e-mail you sent me about the smear attempt on Sen. John McCain:
I can fully appreciate your anger. I find it disgusting when a good candidate
with a strong message must take the time and the resources away from his
campaign in order to counter an attack which is so obviously disingenuous. It
is because you chose to not stand up and defend Rep. Ron Paul when James
Kirchick of The New Republic timed a similar attack just before the New
Hampshire primaries, that I am unable to take your present outrage seriously.Rep. Paul is your conservative standard-bearer. Mr. Kirchick brought up a
charge which had been discredited a decade ago. This was an obvious attempt to
derail the campaign of the most respectable and qualified Republican to run in
this presidential race. I can assure you, Mr. Duncan, that you have my support,
at this time, in the full measure that you offered yours then. With all due respect,
Nathan

Touche!
[…] Fight the smears from the left not the right […]
Excellent response! Chairman Duncan does not respond to my unsolicited comments. A well measured and direct response. Thank you for taking the time to do so.
Excellent Nathan!
Your response to Mr. Duncan was so well delivered. I really appreciate the way you started by sympathizing with him about McCain and then slapped him over his neglect for Dr. Paul. And then you make up at the end to say PEACE. Well done. You would make a good diplomat.
Boy, though, doesn’t it just piss you off what a bum break McCain has gotten from the media this whole election season? I mean, its just not fair. Can you stand it?
Great letter!…no doubt it went right into the circular file, but hopefully had some impact… We must keep up the good fight!
Ron Paul Revolution!
I agree that we must each individually do all to get the Peace, Liberty and Prosperity message Ron Paul is now trumpeting not just throughout the United State, but indeed throughout the entire world.
