The Push For 1,000 Subscribers

Posted by Brian Bailey on December 23, 2007

I remember just four weeks ago sitting on the edge of this very seat waiting to reach the 100 subscriber mark. Days would pass without reaching the mark and I had started to become a little discouraged.

I am discouraged no longer.

As of today we have reached 410 subscribers via email and 45 via RSS. (You can see these numbers on the right side of the page in the green and yellow boxes. Keep in mind that the displays are always 24 hours behind the actual number.) By the end of the week we should be nearing (or passing) 100,000 page views.

I am thrilled by this turn of events and more than encouraged enough to continue my efforts.

Still, it is not part of my personality to be fully satisfied with anything less than the best possible outcome. I work every day to improve the website and the newsletter and to reach new visitors and subscribers. I put in around 12 hours on weekdays and 5 or more on the weekends. For me this is not some idle pastime.

I am sincere in my drive to circumvent the prejudice and corporatism that our current national media represents. I am equally sincere in my desire to spread the word and the causes of liberty and personal responsibility during this presidential campaign and beyond.

The same personality that leaves me discontent with the current state of our national media and with mediocre success in acquiring subscribers causes me to forgo the commonly accepted practice of waiting diligently for people to find the website on their own. Instead I would ask each of you who finds this a worthy endeavor to join me in an active effort to recruit new Paulunteers. The website and our work here increases in effectiveness exponentially as more people become involved.

We must do everything we can to capture the energy of this movement and to keep people informed both now and in the future when we will continue our efforts to get individuals who share our ideals elected to national, state, and local office.

Please help me in this drive to reach 1,000 subscribers as quickly as possible.

Sincerely,

Brian Bailey

  1. Brian, I think this is a wonderful site. Just think, it took Dr. Paul 20 years before his message caught on.
