Hello my name is Greg Lewis and I am running for Congress in Florida’s 8th

So few of our fellow Americans seem to understand the dangers we face. Yet we
must take it upon ourselves to sound the alarm and right the course of this
great nation.

This nation was born in defiance of tyranny. That struggle created a country
that cherished its liberty above all for they understood that without freedom
you have nothing. The founders wrote the constitution to defend those precious
liberties.
Against the advice of the founders “we the people” became less vigilant and
so government, which the constitution was meant to chain down, has ballooned
into an unwieldy entity. It is our duty as members of the second American
Revolution, the Ron Paul revolution, to take up the fight for liberty again.

The problems America faces are many; our national sovereignty is under attack,
the patriot act threatens our very rights, the FED is de-valuing and destroying
our currency, our borders are porous, and our economy is struggling, and all the
while our troops are defending other nation’s borders and spending their
dollars in other nation’s economies. We need those troops and those dollars
to come home.

Our primary is over, so what can we do now? We must do what Ron Paul asked us
to; continue this battle on all fronts. We must take over our local GOPs and
run Ron Paul Republicans for office. It is with this in mind and humbleness in
heart that I ask you all to support me for U.S. Congress.

During 1777 Washington’s army began to disperse when the terms of their
service ended and they saw no hope of victory against the power of the British.
They were starving, freezing, and had given up. Washington circulated Thomas
Paine’s “The Crisis” which read; “THESE are the times that try men’s
souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink
from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love
and thanks of man and woman”

This inspired the hard-corps of the group to stay with Washington and they
became the Continental Army.

Ron Paul is our Washington and I hope that all of you will volunteer to be his
Continental Army.

We can take back our country, we will take back our liberties, and we must
return government to the role of the servant and not the master!

We are not just running to run. We can win this. Only 40,000 people voted in
the 2006 congressional primary. I am asking for the Ron Paul supporters around
the nation to support this campaign. We are the boots on the ground here though
and it will take all of our focus to win. I am not worried though; Ron Paul
supporters are all whirlwinds of political activity. Please join our campaign
so that we may get Ron Paul the much needed help he deserves in Washington.

Welcome to the “We the People” campaign to take back our country.

I am not running for Congress. We are running for Congress. I do not want power or influence. What I want is my government to be accountable to the public again. The American people are fed up with the whole political system. It seems every election cycle we elect people who tell us what we want to hear but when they get to Washington, nothing changes. The American people deserve real change. We want our country back!

I am not speaking of the pseudo change that gets brought up every election cycle. I am speaking about fundamental change in the way our political system works. This is OUR chance to revamp and reform OUR republic!

Real Change is driven by citizen-leaders who get upset when they have had enough of government’s incompetence and then ACT to do something about it! Over 70% of the American public disapproves of the job Congress is doing. What are YOU going to do about it? Get involved!

The Republican Party is in trouble right now. Our leaders have forgotten that true conservatives believe in small government, very low taxes, maximum liberty, balanced budgets, and defending our borders. No wonder our party is shrinking. Yet the answer to all of our problems is right in front of us: the Constitution!

It is time for a new type of politics for a new millennia, people first politics. It is time we remember the founders’ message that the further away from the people power is, the worse off the people are. Let’s downsize D.C.!

A Congressman should never “fit in” in Washington. If they are not causing a commotion, fighting special interests’ influence in Congress, and defending the people then they are NOT doing their job. They should never go to Washington to make friends. They should never “go along to get along” or take the party’s side over the public’s. They MUST represent the people, Defend the constitution, and Never forget that “We the People” are the boss.

As your representative in Congress I will:

• Be the most conservative member of Congress
• Never vote to raise taxes
• Never waste your tax dollars
• Never vote for an unbalanced budget
• Never vote to raise congressional pay
• End the taxation of Social Security benefits
• Never take a government-paid junket
• Not participate in the lucrative congressional pension plan
• Fight to end the unpatriotic Patriot Act
• Secure our borders immediately
• End illegal immigration
• End welfare for illegal aliens
• Oppose amnesty
• Vote to enforce visa rules
• End “birthright” citizenship for illegal aliens
• Never vote to regulate the internet
• Oppose any increase in the power of the executive branch or the size of the federal government
• Put education back in the hands of parents and the community
• Support home-schooling
• Vote to end the tax on tips
• Fight the IRS
• Fight the Federal Reserve
• Be a watch-dog, whistle-blower, and enforcer of accountability
• Defend American sovereignty by halting the “North American Union”.
• Never allow American law to be superseded by international bodies
• Defend the Second Amendment
• Negate Roe v Wade, allowing the states to decide
• Fight to define life as beginning at conception
• Never allow an American soldier to be tried by the International Criminal Court
• Vote to stop policing the world and engaging in nation building
• Fight for less government, lower taxes, and more liberty
• Defend the Constitution

WE NEED LESS GOVERNMENT, LOWER TAXES, AND MORE LIBERTY!

We are fighting decades of entrenched special interests and corporate influence. This will not be an easy battle but it is a necessary one. It will take all of us but we will win. We need every American to stand up and tell Washington with one voice that enough is enough — we want our country back!  We need every concerned American to join our fight for liberty.

Donate, volunteer, tell your friends and family, send this website to everyone in your contact list, call your neighbors, and put up a lawn sign but most importantly VOTE. If you believe in the message, GET INVOLVED!

Vote for America, vote for the ideals that this great nation was founded upon, vote for liberty, vote for the constitution, vote your conscience, and vote for the way that you know this country should be.
