(Here is the correct Reddit link.)

From The Paulunteer Mailbox:

Hi,

Fox is apparently removing Ron Paul’s name from their news.

Look at this:

http://youdecide08.foxnews.com/2008/01/03/wyoming-to-hold-fogotten-caucus-between-iowa-new-hampshire-primaries/

“Only Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson and Duncan Hunter have passed through since September.”

and compare it to:

http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2008/01/03/america/Wyoming-Republicans.php
http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/printedition/2008/01/04/wyoming0104.html

Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson, Duncan Hunter and Ron Paul have passed through since September. Mike Huckabee, Rudy Giuliani and John McCain have not.”

The news is from AP. If you google the first words you will find it on a few other sites, *with* Ron Paul and that Huckabee, Giuliani and McCain have not been in Wyoming.

Maybe I am wrong or being paranoid … but I think their bias is obvious.

*Updates:

Ron Paul has definitely been to Wyoming since September. This was not a case of Fox fact-checking and fixing the article. See video proof here.

Here is the original article direct from the AP.

*Update #2: A comment below suggests that the correct AP source should be this shorter one. I challenge that notion, however. You will note that the Fox article cited above and the original article cited above are identical except for the omission of Paul’s name. It seems obvious that the original article cited above is the one that Fox used for their article and that they did not use the shorter one suggested in the comments.

(Thank you, Mix, for bringing this shorter article to our attention.)

At least if you click on his name and read their story on the ABC debate, they snuck in a Ron Paul mention complete with a “quixotic” jab.

Mike Huckabee, Rudy Giuliani and John McCain have not.”

YOUR INCORRECT VERSION: “Only Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson and Duncan Hunter have passed through since September.”

I am not sure what to do with FOX. I have been paying attention to all the happenings. I think we should hit them where it hurts.

Right now my idea is this. I have not shared it before on the internet so this is a first.

I think we should picket BMW dealerships. I have seen that BMW is a sponsor of FOX, the dealership is one arm of BMW that a picket line would directly affect their income. We can do a nationwide picket of BMW with “END the WAR don’t buy BMW” signs that would force BMW to speak out for or against FOX. Fox would be forced to address their issues.

I doubt AP has made three versions, because it would make no sense: A long one, a short one and one just 11 words shorter than the long one? Why would they do that?

Also, google parts of it. You will find the long one everywhere.

It’s unfortunate that people accept the marginalization of candidates as typical. Paul and Kucinich are both being portrayed as radicals without being given the chance to offer substantive explanations of their policies.

Ron Paul is 11th hour libertarian wedge from the republicans. (they do this every election to get the young, websurfing, uneducated vote.)
I’d have to say that every supporter of ron paul i’ve spoken to, clearly doesn’t understand american politics or history and seems like they haven’t looked passed his manipulative rhetoric of his website. Lazy americans? yep there are a lot of them.
As usual your thoughts were very eloquent and right on. he is the same old sheep in wolfs clothing. Most people don’t understand what the civil war was about or have they read the original constitution.

As Jon Stewart said, “he is the candidate to sweep up the voters who can’t spell Libertarian.”

Matt,

How many supporters have you talked to, if you don’t mind sharing?

We here and many others in many other places would be more than happy to show you that in fact we do know exactly what we are talking about.

I also find it hard to imagine that you would choose “manipulative” to describe Ron Paul. This suggests to me that you have not read anything about him and have based your opinions off of the hateful and ignorant things you have heard from others.

I find that many people who share similar words to the ones you have posted here often seem to have a strong distrust or dislike of government and politicians but at the same time have a strong distrust or dislike for the only political movement that wants to empower you. Us.

“Jan Larimer, Wyoming’s Republican national committeewoman, said her area — Teton County, in western Wyoming — turned out several Romney and Ron Paul supporters at the precinct caucuses. About one-fourth of the county convention delegates were chosen at the precinct caucuses.”

By the way…Mead Gruver at the AP is apparently who you should be upset with…link… http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5h5OOlm1KiB8Xqt3JqGsF2uBwQL9gD8TUAFS80

Joe,

You’ll have to check out both links to see what we are talking about.

We are referring to the blatant deletion of the fact that Ron Paul DID visit Wyoming. This made it appear as though Dr. Paul did not care enough to go to Wyoming when in fact he did.

The fact that Fox’s text exactly matches the shorter AP article where it omits paul makese me think that perhaps there were three versions of the AP article — an original one which didn’t mention Paul, a shorter one based on the original and uncorrected, and a revised version of the original which added Paul. The original one would have been withdrawn when the correction was made, but AP neglected to revise the one which showed up in the short collection. The other sources used the revised version, but Fox used the original.

This is all just a guess to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the exact match in the erroneous text suggests that it originated with AP, not Fox.

StopSpam,

First, I would ask that you notice the question mark in the title and the inclusion of this line “Maybe I am wrong or being paranoid … but I think their bias is obvious.”

Secondly, though, I would say that what you have pointed out proves that they did this intentionally. The article you showed us is their wire story that included Ron Paul but then the one they promoted on their “You Decide” website, the one that they ask everyone to read, is the one without his name.

Regarding the comment quoting Jon Stewart, some people are mislead to believe that we support Ron Paul because he is running as a Republican. I’m a Republican and could honestly care less which party (or even none at all) the good doctor aligns with.

Ron Paul’s message, core values and unwavering consistency is what attracts support to his campaign from all political parties.

This guy is the real deal. He’s not the stereotypical “lesser of two evils” type of politician. You can’t buy Ron Paul, because The Constitution is NOT FOR SALE!

Extremely funny to the guy who said all Paul supporters have no knowledge of history, and that he is an 11th hour republican effort.
Sir,I am a former life-long democrat, with a degree in international relations [I know, this does not amount to much knowledge, per se,but I did live in Africa and a number of other regions, along with several states in the US of diverse ranging-MT,MA,CO,CA),enough to have been exposed to the range of historical approaches.]-and your comments are so out of line with the truth, that I’d have to wonder if they are not purposefully deceitful.
I have registered Republican,b/c parties no longer mean anything; integrity and truth do. And real discussion about issues and what to do about them. Ron Paul is the ONLY one daring to challenge the CFR power structure. Why would I vote democrat? The major candidates being touted are nothing but ‘Neo Libs’. Again,I have voted democrat for 20 years now. No more. This game is over. It is you who should be reading up on history,as well as on RP. The man is real; at least give him and your fellow Americans the respect of researching his long history in Congress. And quit it already with the generalized badmouthing and stereotyping of all RP supporters. Thankyou.
